Yes, I'm excited! I had the old one for years, in fact I think I made it when my first book was published. So this is a great new start. I'm going to be fiddling with this for a while because let's face it: it still doesn't feel like home. The background photo is of a sign outside, what else, a dog store in Martha's Vineyard. (I wanted to put a photo of Zoey but worried readers may think I have no interests outside of my dog and my books. Which of course isn't true. Ahem.)

Update: Of course the background has changed! This photograph was also taken by me in Martha's Vineyard this past summer. We caught the last of the sun, and the start of the fall: a beautiful time for many things, including photography.

Hey Sonia..As the text area is transparent.. it makes it difficult to read the post. Wouldn't matter to people like us who subscribe for it..

Thanks, Chaitra. I experimented with different backgrounds this morning, and the transparent one looked best and least staid. I may be forced to change it though, if the volume of complaints goes up!
