Because what he calls 'reliably terrifying', 'uniquely Afghan' and a 'complicated dance of beauty and death' is what we in India, particularly those of us who live in Bombay, might, just from the look of it, call a damn good road.

The Mumbai Pune highway is certainly a damn good road....if u dont consider the chances of rocks thudding ur car roof during the rains. :-)
