Who Knew?

That the chappals I buy from Colaba Causeway for two hundred and fifty bucks a pop are actually 'Caylan Toe Ring Sandals' (Toe ring!!). They retail for $195 at Neiman Marcus. (Mine lack the charming fringe detail. Thank God.)

I call it cheating the public. They take our crafts and pass it as their own. Where is the patenting law in this case?
Two thoughts crash into each other at the same time...
I dont think anyone has patented 'toe ring footwear' and patenting law in India, you serious?
What about products bought from Bangkok and sold in bombay for double -- with a SALE sticker. :oP
Oh and Goa -- a open aired stall sold "Woodlands" floaters for 700 bux to a firang. Boy was his day made...
And isnt 250 bucks for kolhapuris is a bit much. You do not bargain hard enough? :)
(and yes, i am getting bored in office.)
