Actor Kal Penn, 31, who really hit his stride with the stoner movies Harold and Kumar ... (alright, and The Namesake as well) puts his money where his mouth is.
Having spent last summer and fall campaigning for then Senator Obama, Penn has given up his recurring role on the drama House for the White House. He's their new Associate Director of Public Liason and will be responsible for connecting the President with Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities, as well as with arts and entertainment groups.
