Clearly, Varun's the Gandhi who got hit with the stupid stick. (Also the ugly stick, but let's not get into that).
Only a tool would indulge in the sort of hate speech that made Modi famous and do it front of a TV camera. But only a real tool would get into trouble for it from his own party, a party that adores Modi and Modi-style politics, which continues to indulge in hate speech and which has won elections because of it.
Varun Gandhi may hate Muslims. But it seems that everyone, including his own colleagues, hates Varun Gandhi.

Had some sympathy for him until this outburst. It looks like he was feeding off the response, loved the feeling of power from threatening to maim people. Although, many in the audience were clearly laughing at the 4th stooge.
Although, truth be told, he is getting very different treatment from the press than all the other leaders who say far worse than this. When will Modi and Advani's speeches be branded as hate speech by the news channels?
