He's Probably Drinking Himself Silly in the Bathtub

Nine years later, actor Salman Khan wants 10 days more. This morning, Khan lost an appeal against a five-year prison sentence for killing a black buck in 1998. His lawyer's appeal that he be allowed to surrender after 10 days, has been rejected, and the little man is currently in "hiding". Khan had already been sentenced to a one-year prison term in another poaching case; a sentence he is appealing, and is accused of killing one person and injuring four others in a hit and run in Bandra in 2002.
According to NDTV, Congress MP and actor Govinda, believes that 'Salman was being targetted and that his conviction was not a good sign for the country.' ''Nothing fails like success. Controversies are often created around young stars,'' he said. ''I am praying for Salman." Idiot.

Five years in the slammer for killing an animal is just too harsh a sentence. When you consider the fact that terrorists who kill hundreds walk free and nobody gives a dam, the perversity of the legal system becomes quite apparent.
